Project Introduction
Overview
The networking platform was designed to foster professional connections and engagement. However, a special request emerged: introduce a “view-only” access mode for certain users to comply with privacy and security requirements while maintaining visibility of content.
My Role
User Research and Personas
Conducted detailed user research to identify needs and created personas to guide design choices effectively.

User Flows and Wireframes
Designed user flows and wireframes to map key interactions and visualize layout and functionality.

High-Fidelity Mockups
Delivered polished high-fidelity mockups aligned with brand guidelines to ensure intuitive user experience.
Design Principles
To guide the solution, we established two key principles:
 - Access without alteration: View-only users should be able to consume information without the ability to modify or interact with it.
 - Privacy and security: Safeguard personal identifiable information (PII) to ensure compliance and trust.
These principles became the foundation for all design and technical decisions.
Develop User Story Based on RBAC
We implemented Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to manage permissions effectively.
Access Management Diagram
We mapped out an Access Management Flow to visualize:
 - Role-to-permission relationships.
 - UI components enabled or disabled per role.
 - Backend logic for authentication and authorization.
Design High-Fidelity Mockups
Using the platform’s design system principles, we created mockups that:
 - Removed interactive elements for view-only users (e.g., disabled buttons, hidden forms).
 - Added clear indicators like banners: “You have view-only access.”
 - Maintained visual consistency across web and mobile.
Outcomes
Compliance: Reduced risk of unauthorized interactions and improved adherence to privacy standards.
User Experience: Simplified interface for observers, reducing cognitive load.
Impact Metrics:
 - Increased satisfaction among restricted users.
 - Improved admin control and governance.
