In my art, I confront a pressing issue: humanity's persistent inability to coexist harmoniously. I probe deeply into the causes and effects, questioning why, despite our history and experiences, we haven't learned to respect each other's existence and embrace diversity. After millennia of evolution, why do we continue to engage in conflicts over territory, religion, energy sources, and the pursuit of abstract ideals, often overlooking the natural gifts of beauty and harmony? I believe the root cause lies in human nature itself. I argue that our innate ego, when unchecked, drives us towards self-centeredness, disrupting the harmony of coexistence with other beings.

In October 2024 I was honored to become an artist in residency in the La Fonderie Association of Artists in Fontenay-Sois-Bois, France. I worked in the studio for a month, producing a body of works on the topic of isolation, collaborating with local artists, and exhibiting at the end of the term on the joint show with two more painters/sculptors. In addition, we came up with the Musical Poetic Performance on the day of the opening. During the performance, we invited representatives of different cultures and backgrounds to reflect on the topic of Isolation and loneliness. This idea sparked us to continue the project, inviting different organizations and associations to develop it further beyond what we imagined before.

To be continued.
